Nihonbashi Restaurant and LIT are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Sales & Events Manager to drive revenue through corporate bookings, private events, banquets, outside catering, and curated experiences across both venues.
This is a salary + commission-driven role designed for a proactive self-starter with strong networks, commercial instincts, and a passion for creating memorable, high-value events. You will play a key role in expanding our events portfolio, building long-term client relationships, and positioning Nihonbashi and LIT as premier destinations for bespoke dining and entertainment experiences in Colombo.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate and convert leads to drive banquet sales, corporate functions, private dining, venue buyouts, and outside catering events.
Identify, develop, and capitalize on new revenue streams, including corporate events, brand collaborations, curated experiences, and high-end social gatherings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, concierge services, high-net-worth individuals, private member clubs, inbound tour operators, banks, and business associations.
Conceptualize, tailor, and successfully execute events that align with brand standards while maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction.
Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, preferences, and budgets, developing customized proposals and event packages that exceed expectations.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless planning, execution, and post-event follow-up.
Requirements
Male / Female
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in sales, business development, banquet sales, or event management.
Experience with star-class hotels or established event management companies will be a strong advantage.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through events, collaborations, and venue buyouts.
Strong industry network and excellent relationship-building skills.
Highly driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-based, commission-led environment.
