 Job Description

The Commercial Assistant – Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC will support day-to-day commercial activities including procurement planning, supplier coordination, logistics management, and data analysis. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience across multiple commercial functions in a fast-paced manufacturing and retail environment.

 Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly material requirements based on production plans
• Prepare delivery schedules, requests for quotations, and raise purchase orders
• Arrange supplier invoices and coordinate payments
• Monitor and control receiving of raw materials ensuring correct price, quantity, and quality
• Coordinate overseas material ordering and receiving with commercial departments
• Negotiate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Handle customs documentation, duties, and payments in coordination with clearing agents
• Prepare commercial reports and data analysis for management review

 Qualifications
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar commercial or supply chain role
• Fully or part-qualified in Commercial Management / Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel and related applications)
• Good command of English and Sinhala

 Skills & Competencies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Courteous, helpful, and solution-oriented mindset
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
