About the Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and transform the people strategy of a large-scale FMCG and manufacturing operation. As the Head of HR, you will play a critical role in driving workforce effectiveness, strengthening HR systems, and aligning people practices with business growth.

The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing exposure, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage complex workforce environments while partnering closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business objectives across manufacturing and operational functions.
• Lead end-to-end HR operations including talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
• Drive organizational development initiatives to enhance productivity, engagement, and leadership capability.
• Oversee industrial relations, labor compliance, disciplinary processes, and union negotiations where applicable.
• Partner with business leaders to build a strong performance-driven culture across factories and corporate functions.
• Design and implement compensation, benefits, and retention strategies aligned with industry benchmarks.
• Ensure HR policies, systems, and processes comply with labor laws and best HR practices.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on people-related risks, opportunities, and change initiatives.

Who You Are (Needed Profile)
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience handling large workforces, factory operations, and industrial relations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and operational teams.
• Excellent knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution capability and hands-on HR leadership style.
• Based in or willing to relocate/commute to Kurunegala.
