Role Overview

As a Technical Specialist-Quality Engineering , you will own and lead the technical evolution of the Quality Engineering function at Docupath. This is a senior, high-impact role where you will define how quality is engineered, automated, and scaled across our platform.

You will be responsible for implementing advanced technical capabilities for QE, designing automation architectures, and leading the operational execution of quality across teams. This role blends deep hands-on technical expertise with leadership, influence, and strategic thinking.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership, not as a gatekeeper, but as a quality leader embedded in delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain robust testing strategies and processes, and ensure they are properly implemented and followed.
• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks across UI, API, and system layers.
• Build and improve automation frameworks as the platform evolves.
• Analyse the requirements and come up with the Test strategies, plans and approaches for the releases.
• Drive adoption of best-in-class test automation practices integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Set standards for QE tools, frameworks, and testing approaches.
• Operate as a core member of Agile delivery teams, embedding quality engineering practices into sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous delivery cycles.
• Provide hands-on leadership in building and maintaining automated test suites using modern tooling.
• Collaborate early with engineering and product teams to influence design for testability and quality.
• Mentor and technically guide other QE engineers, setting standards and raising the quality bar across the organization.
• Proactively identify quality risks and gaps, and implement solutions before they impact customers.
• Stay current with modern QE trends, tools, and methodologies, introducing improvements where they add real value.

Required Qualifications
• 7–10 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Software Engineering roles with a strong QE focus.
• Deep experience with test automation, including designing frameworks and automation strategies.
• Strong working knowledge of TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern automation tools and suites (Playwright is preferred).
• Write clear, maintainable automated tests with proper documentation.
• API automation experience.
• Clear understanding of what to test, how to test, and why, including test case selection, prioritization, and risk-based testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Know and practice ATDD, BDD, TDD approaches.
• Proven ability to operate independently, make technical decisions, and lead by example.
• Comfortable adopting new tech AI tools, emerging frameworks to improve efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken with the confidence to engage across teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
