About the Role

Our client is seeking a Director (Operations) to oversee and drive the strategic, operational,

and people management functions of their Sri Lanka operations. This role will act as a key

liaison between local teams and global leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational

goals, compliance standards,
 and a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Leadership & Management

• Work with engineering, support, finance, HR, and IT leaders to align Sri Lanka teams with global goals. Build a collaborative, high-performance culture and ensure alignment with CLIENT values.

• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams. Represent CLIENT at events and support hiring, HR, and employer branding initiatives.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee daily Sri Lanka site operations with local teams, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance. Develop processes supporting global objectives while meeting local needs.

• Track KPIs and report results to senior leaders. Join onshore calls and share updates with offshore teams. Implement governance requirements and manage budgets, forecasting, and organizational change.

Team Development & Talent Management

• Lead talent acquisition, retention, and development. Identify training needs and implement skill programs. Support onboarding, interviewing, and selection.

• Promote productivity, motivation, and collaboration. Develop local leadership and maintain a succession pipeline through coaching and mentoring.

Strategic Planning

• Work with senior leadership to design and execute strategies that contribute to company growth.

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.

• Uphold Code of Conduct, Diversity, Health & Safety, and Information Security standards.

Communication

• Act as a communication link between Sri Lanka teams and global leaders, ensuring smooth information flow.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).

• 8–10+ years in leadership. Strong operational, leadership, and communication skills.

• Experience in multicultural environments and knowledge of Sri Lankan laws.

• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of global delivery, vendor management, software development, BPO, HR, and compliance.

• Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally.
