Senior Logistics Executive

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that inventory is properly handled and that inventory data is accurately updated and reflected according to pre-agreed systems.
• Manage receiving, storage, and shipping operations by implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Track and monitor shipment invoices and documents daily and update relevant systems.
• Monitor deadlines and review resource allocation to ensure their optimization:
• Arrangement of timely coordination of shipment docs receipt.
• Arrangement of timely coordination of shipment docs dispatch.
• Coordinating between finance and sales teams.
• Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and external stakeholders and monitor their performance.
• Organize and monitor the status of shipments and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Generate timely reports to ensure stakeholders are updated along with timely follow-up.
• Provide timely and accurately all relevant and needed shipping documentation.
• Previous experiences in handling LC based Shipment is a must
• Able to work from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or any relevant discipline.
• 3+ years working experience in a financial role, preferably in supply chain logistics.
• Preferred experience in freight forwarding with an understanding of global transport logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of air/sea freight forwarding, inventory management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Organized, rigorous, reliable, independent, transparent, and diligent in work.
• Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations.
• Strong time management skills, verbal, interpersonal, and team communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively with minimal guidance.
• The candidate must have at least one year of experience with LC shipments in Sri Lanka.
