Content Writer Sinhala – Digital Services (Immediate Hiring)

Role Summary

NCATALYSTS is looking for a Sinhala Content Writer to create clear, engaging, and brand-consistent content across social media and marketing channels. You’ll work closely with the Client Servicing and Creative teams to deliver content that supports building brands and improving customer experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality Sinhala copy for:
  • Social media posts (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn where relevant)
  • Ad copy (Meta/Google) in Sinhala (and Singlish if required)
  • Captions, headlines, taglines, and campaign concepts
  • Short scripts for reels/short videos and voice-over guides
  • Basic website/landing page sections in Sinhala (when needed)
  • Adapt tone of voice per brand (formal, friendly, premium, youth, etc.) while keeping messaging consistent.
  • Convert English briefs into natural, culturally relevant Sinhala (not direct/awkward translations).
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure copy fits layouts and communicates the key message clearly.
  • Ensure grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy; maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Support content calendars and deliver copy on time based on monthly/weekly plans.
  • Participate in feedback/revision cycles and refine copy based on client comments.
  • Maintain organized documentation of final copy and versions (Notion/Google Docs as applicable).

Strategy, Collaboration & Content Framework Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Digital/Performance team and Client Servicing team to align content with:
  • Business goals (awareness, leads, sales)
  • Target audience and customer pain points
  • Brand tone of voice and positioning
  • Ongoing campaign performance insights
  • Contribute to building and presenting an overall content + digital strategy for assigned clients, including:
  • Content pillars (e.g., education, product/service, proof, community, brand story)
  • Monthly/weekly theme plans and campaign angles
  • Hook – Value – CTA structures for captions and ads
  • Storytelling frameworks (Problem–Agitate–Solution; Before/After; AIDA)
  • Reels/video script frameworks (Hook – Context – Steps – CTA)
  • Turn strategy into execution:
  • Propose post ideas, angles, and Sinhala-first messaging (not literal translations)
  • Suggest CTAs, offers, and audience-friendly phrasing
  • Support performance learning:
  • Review what content worked/failed (with CS/performance team)
  • Apply insights to improve future copy and content angles

Requirements

  • Proven experience writing Sinhala marketing content (agency experience is a plus).
  • Excellent Sinhala writing skills (grammar, spelling, clarity, and flow).
  • Ability to write different styles: conversational, corporate, promotional, storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of Sri Lankan audience behavior and cultural nuance.
  • Comfortable working with briefs, deadlines, and multiple brands at once.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices.

Nice-to-Have

  • Ability to write in English and/or Tamil as an added advantage.
  • Experience writing performance ad copy (hooks, CTAs, offer-led messaging).
  • Familiarity with content planning tools (Notion) and collaboration workflows.
  • Basic SEO writing knowledge.
