The Role:

• Support and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
• Assist with configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices, including Network Switches, Centralized Wireless AP Systems, Network Monitoring and Load Balancing devices and IP phone Systems.
• Assist in routine network maintenance, firmware upgrades, and patching under guidance.
• Monitor alerts and events through network management systems and escalate as required.
• Support configuration of VPNs, internet lines, leased lines, remote access connections, all Mobile Broadband Connections, APN Connections and Dongles.
• Attend to billing and administrative work related to all VPNs, internet lines, leased lines, Mobile Broadband Connections, APN connections and Dongles etc.
• Assist in enforcing network security policies in line with organizational standards.
• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation.
• Coordinate with service providers for connectivity related issues.
• Respond to and resolve reported user issues in a timely manner.
• Support in internal audits and compliance activities related to IT operations

The Person:

• Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Networking or IT.
• CCNA (Routing & Switching or equivalent) training or certification is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in network support or systems infrastructure roles.
