Credit Analyst

Job Profile

• To initiate & structure viable credit proposals, carryout credit analysis & present findings and recommendations for approval in adherence to the guidelines and compliance requirements
• Carry out trend analysis, historic analysis based on market and financial data
• Carry out financial evaluation, interpretation & forecasts
• Assist with credit quality improvement, manage and enhance corporate relationships in alignment with the Bank’s policies and strategies of Corporate Banking
• Monitor credit exposures to effectively identify potential credit and business risks to take timely corrective action
• Collaborate and support to canvas new lending business, deposit products, cross sale of service products to optimize returns to the bank

Applicant Profile

• Be below 38 years
• Possess a Diploma in Applied Banking & Finance (IBSL) or an equivalent qualification offered by IBSL
• A Professional Qualification or a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in Finance/ Economics/Statistics/ Law from a recognized university would be an added advantage
• Have a minimum of three (03) years aggregate experience in credit operations in an executive capacity in Bank or other financial institution
• Have hands on experience & ability to work independently with MS Office
• Have strong analytical skills (in financial and business risk)
• Have an excellent command of the English Language, both written and spoken
• Have the ability to work in teams to achieve common objectives with mutual respect and support
• Be self-motivated and proactive
• Display a high level of professionalism with ability to take initiative & multitask
