Pink Elephant is a new addition to Sri Lanka’s tourism industry, offering state-of-the-art luxury experiences across the island. This fully developed venture is steadily expanding with a group of nature-inspired properties in scenic locations across the island, delivering exceptional comfort blended with the refined simplicity of modern living immersed in nature.
We are now on the lookout for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth journey, someone who can identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and play a key role in establishing Pink Elephant as a distinguished presence in Sri Lanka’s luxury hospitality landscape.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing and implementing strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and occupancy targets while establishing and strengthening the brand.
- Preparing annual operating budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance, reducing costs, and maximizing profitability.
- Leading daily operations by directing the day-to-day functioning of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experience.
- Managing guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and overseeing feedback and reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Managing inventory and purchasing by overseeing supply procurement, negotiating vendor contracts, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure cost efficiency.
- Building strategic partnerships and collaborating across teams to ensure unified brand messaging and service excellence.
- Overseeing business development activities across all properties within the group to ensure aligned growth and consistency.
- Representing Pink Elephant at travel fairs, networking events, and industry forums.
You Should Have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or serviced apartments.
- Proven experience in managing day-to-day operational activities within a residential hospitality or serviced accommodation setting.
- Strong understanding of inbound tourism markets and luxury guest expectations with added advantage of familiarity with travel management systems and booking engines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- A passion for elevating guest experiences through innovation and service excellence.
